Prezi - the intersection of storytelling and STEM
As a chemistry professor, I spend a lot of time talking about a range of occasionally dry, technical topics. Over time, I've learned a number of ways to present things. What's the most enduring lesson I've learned in becoming a better raconteur?
Be engaging. Tell stories. Keep people listening and looking for the next story beat. A few of the presentations I've developed in Prezi show the benefit of these lessons. Click on each image to view the presentation. |
Workshops - because everyone can learn something new
|
Part of my efforts include participating in workshops and training sessions designed to promote the adoption of diverse influences in the STEM classroom - a classroom broadly defined as extending from Grade K to Grade 20 and existing wherever there are people.
This means working with teachers in traditional and charter schools, colleagues across various disciplines, and learners of all interests and abilities. Click the buttons to look at sample workshop topics. |
